A warm welcome to four new colleagues joining the HKUST Management community in 2026.

The new faculty members are:

• Prof. Frederik Anseel, Dean of Business and Management and Chair Professor of Management; PhD in Organizational Psychology from Ghent University.

• Prof. Trevor Spelman, Assistant Professor of Management; PhD in Management and Organizations from Northwestern University.

• Dr. Haibo Liu, Lecturer in Management; PhD in Management from INSEAD.

• Prof. Joon Nak Choi, Adjunct Associate Professor in Management; PhD in Sociology from Stanford University. Prof. Choi has long contributed to the Department as an adjunct associate professor and has now officially joined the Department in a full-time capacity.

Their expertise and contributions will further enrich the Department’s research, teaching, and intellectual engagement.
