Professor Chan serves as an Adjunct Professor, designing and teaching leadership and strategy programs, at the HKUST Business School Executive Education Office.

Professor Chan served as Professor, Associate Dean, and Faculty Director of executive education for Ivey Business School in Asia. He has extensive consulting and executive education experience in talent and leadership development (TLD) working with multinationals and Asian organizations. His work includes development and delivery of open and custom TLD programs for private and public sector organizations in Hong Kong and mainland China, SE Asia, Middle East, and Europe. Professor Chan also regularly writes teaching cases, orchestrates simulations, and coaches action learning projects to enrich learning experiences and deliver greater return on leadership development.

Being Professor of Accounting at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, and Dean of the Cornell-Nanyang Institute in Singapore, Professor Chan was responsible for the brand elevation and growth of Cornell University’s Master of Management program, as well as represented Cornell in developing alumni and corporate relations in Asia.

Before Cornell, Professor Chan was Assistant Dean and Director of MBA Programs at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he was responsible for MBA brand development, marketing and admissions, financial and program management, academic affairs, and corporate and media relations.
